Once Upon A Time Finale Review + Season 7
Ouat is my all-time favourite show and the finale was amazing however I have a few points to critique.
Ever since I started watching, Emma Swan has been my hero and it was really awesome to see her fight for her loved ones. However the kiss that brought her back to life confused me since she hadn't been put under a sleeping curse or memory spell at that point - but I'm not complaining as I was crying my eyes out when I thought she was truly dead.
I loved how everyone had a meal and sat down as an awesome yet highy disfunctional family. I also loved Emma's hug with her family - (I was so happy to see Zelena hug her too!) I really liked how brave Henry was and how much he loves his them.
Unfortunately after the 'happy beginnings' speech we realise that Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan), Josh Dallas (David/Charming), Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow), Jared S. Gilmore (Henry Mills) and more will not be returning for season seven. Considering these are the main characters this seems so strange - and for us oncers completely heartbreaking!
In the final scene of The Final Battle Part 2 we see years from now Henry's daughter knock on his door similar to what Henry did to Emma.
First of all can I point out that there is no way on earth that Henry would ever leave his daughter like Emma left him. Emma was alone and frightened but Henry has his family so he would not under any circumstances abandon Lucy.
(PS: Love her character and name!)
Secondly we have literally lost years and years of our Hero's lives and considering the mass majority of the cast have left we are hardly going to be able to see what happened - Plus why would we want a flashback?
We all wanted season seven to be what happens straight after the final battle. Do Emma and Killian have a baby? Do they go on that honeymoon they talked about? It's not like Ouat has a shortage of villains to pick from. Read any of the brothers Grimm stories and you'll find a new bad guy to battle. I want to see CaptainSwan kick ass as the new sheriffs. I want some drama and I really want Emma and Hook to have a baby!
Though now there will be no CaptainSwan adventures because yet again they will be split up. The writers could easily have taken a break for a few years until everyone was ready to continue filming. I'm so heartbroken by the changes the show will face but I love Season six so much and will always love OUAT and Emma.
